According to a study conducted by Dr. Patricia Conrod of the University of Montreal and its affiliated Sainte-Justine Hospital Research Centre, teacher delivered interventions for mental health problems can be effective at lowering depression, anxiety and conduct disorders.
The researchers observed that the brief 90-minute intervention sessions can be both effective and sustainable when counseled within the school system.
