CommunityWorks Carolina Gets $600,000 from Community Development Financial Institution Fund

The CommunityWorks Carolina (CWC) received $600,000 from the U.S. Department of Treasury's Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund.

The award will enable CWC to build up its loan fund that renders financing for affordable housing, small business development and other community initiatives in South Carolina's upstate region. CWC was one out of only three organizations in South Carolina to exclusively earn this direct federal aid.
