Nutrition facts label, introduced 20 years ago, provides consumers with essential information including serving size, number of calories, amount of nutrients per serving, etc.
Over the years, research has shown that a change in nutrition labeling could help consumers avoid miscalculations in the number of calories and nutritional content of the products they're eating.
Among these changes, two have been highlighted the most: 1) dual-column information that details single serving and total package nutrition information, and 2) declaring nutritional information for the entire container.
