Metro Vancouver Sees Rise of Homeless Seniors as Alarming Trend


Vancouver's steering committee on homelessness sees the emergence of homeless seniors a serious issue.

The eighth annual Homeless Action Week this year puts a spotlight on the "hidden homeless" to address the alarming issue. According to the committee, not enough is being done for those in Metro Vancouver retiring with debt, working with fixed incomes and have no capacity to move.

    J. Gregory Dees, an internationally acclaimed Professor of the Practice of Social Entrepreneurship and co-founder of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, passed away at age 63 at the Duke Hospital Friday.
