Use of Crystal Meth by Street Youth Increases Risk of Injecting Drugs

According to a study published in CMAJ (Canadian Medical Association Journal), use of crystal methamphetamine by street youth is associated with increased risk of injecting drugs.

Participants of the study reported injecting for the first time with other people present, including friends (57%), family members (13%) and acquaintances (10%).
