Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) and the University of California, Davis researchers indicate that gunshot injuries among children and adolescents, while scarce, are more severe, costly and deadly than any other source for childhood injury.
The researchers recommended that public health, injury prevention, and health policy solutions are needed to reduce gunshot injuries in children. The study is published online in the journal Pediatrics.
