Binge Drinking May Lead to Increased Atherosclerotic Progression, Stroke


A study published in the Journal of Neurology, Acta Neurologica Scandinavica, and Atherosclerosis, excessive alcohol consumption or binge drinking increases atherosclerotic progression and risk of stroke.

Heavy alcohol drinking has been linked to a wide range of medical conditions including risk of stroke. Stroke is the second leading cause of death and disability.
