HHS Provides Grants for Superstorm Sandy Recovery Research

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will provide more than $8 million in grants to support research to help in the long-term recovery in areas hit by Hurricane Sandy in October 2012.

The grants entail researchers to share their findings with each other and the affected communities. This approach will connect networks of community members and organizations to cultivate a strong recovery and to develop resilience as impacted community members continue to move forward in rebuilding their lives.
