Native American Financing Pioneer Bags Visionary Leader Award


Gerald Sherman (Oglala Lakota), who has years of experience working in banking and finance in Indian Country, was awarded the 'Visionary Leader Award for Outstanding Achievement' at the 10th Annual Native Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Convening.

Sherman has developed financial products and opportunities to empower Native American communities. The ceremony was hosted by Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) and First Nations Oweesta Corporation (Oweesta) in Philadelphia, PA.
