The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is required by state law to do a regional Strategic Plan, which includes forming regional goals and objectives and meeting those goals and objectives.
The plan also addresses an active public participation to unite the eighteen communities of Hampton Roads. Although details of the HRPDC still remain hushed, there have been some preliminary meetings with tech experts in social media, survey methodologies, nonprofits and community organizations to develop networks in engaging the people.
