New Report Provides Guidance to Implement Obesity Programs for Community Benefit

The Strategies to Overcome and Prevent (STOP) Obesity Alliance releases new report that identifies the challenges and opportunities for nonprofit hospitals to tackle obesity through community benefit activities.

The Alliance's research team at the George Washington University School of Public Health and Health Services (SPHHS) found that community-based programs that directly address adult obesity are lacking, there is a need to reduce stigma, and there is the importance of knowing the value of effective partnerships.
