Case Study on Las Vegas Investors and Housing Markets

The Las Vegas case study examined four areas in the Las Vegas Metro featuring low to middle-level housing market subareas. Investors displayed a persistent presence throughout the study area, characterizing more than half of all single family transactions and two thirds of condo acquisitions.

Investors have played a role in the Las Vegas market, but there is less definite support that their continued market control remains to be as beneficial. Since the great majority of investors are keen to uphold their properties so that they may be able to sell them for a profit, it is less likely that their properties will be abandoned and become blighted homes.
