Referring to an article in VentureBeat, Midsize Insider states that midsize companies' needs are driving new interest in social business since large corporations do not need the help of start-ups to build a "social technology stack."

For smaller companies, investing through an array of social start-ups often is not worth the time, which leaves them to create a strategy together with what works ó not what is best. The bottom line is that there is "real growth in the social business market, with catch-all stacks aimed squarely at smaller companies. Provision, however, is only half the battle."

The Charities Aid Foundation has set up a scheme, called the Social Enterprise Assist, that will render interest-free loans of up to £10,000 each to help social enterprise start-ups.
