According to a study in the November issue of the Journal of Studies on Alcohol and Drugs, teens in child welfare system are at higher risk of marijuana, inhalants and other drug use.
Findings show that teens that enter the child welfare system typically have some risk factors for drug useósuch as a history of domestic abuse or mental health issues. The study also indicates that parental involvement matters.
