Women of Means to Improve Homeless Health Care


Women of Means, a nonprofit that focuses on offering the elderly, homeless women preventive care outside of the hospital, have found a solution by way of a program that will improve the care homeless people receive while reducing the expense to hospitals and taxpayers.

The program aims to not only provide women with an unintimidating forum in which to talk to doctors, it seeks to avoid having these women ó many of whom have health troubles from years of living on the street ó make frequent visits to the emergency room, which can be expensive.
