The Housing Finance Policy Center (HFPC) seeks to be more valuable in linking housing policy and housing finance, and to present opportune, neutral analyses of policy issues, anticipating problems and potential solutions and responding to them as they surface.
To date, the US housing market appears to be in strong recovery. As a result of a stronger economy, mortgage rates also have increased consistently since December 2012. However, housing affordability varies among major metropolitan areas.
