Blood Pressure, Glucose and Cholesterol Control Could Reduce Risk of Heart Disease and Stroke

According to a study conducted by a team from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH), Imperial College London, and the University of Sydney, controlling blood pressure, serum cholesterol, and blood glucose may cut down the obesity-related risk of heart disease and stroke.

The researchers examined the three factors since they are likely pathways through which obesity increases the risk of heart disease and stroke. The study is viewable online in the November issue of The Lancet.
