The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) that renders support to ensure access to food for needy families has suddenly been faced with continuous cuts in Congress.
The House-passed bill proposes to pull out an even bigger bite out of SNAP, which cuts over $40 billion over a decade. The House cuts would take away SNAP benefits from 4 million people, including children and seniors, and making it difficult unemployed workers to receive benefits.
