In a study entitled, "The Dialogic Video Cycle as Teacher Professional Development Model to Foster Classroom Dialogue: Conceptualization and Implementation Findings," TUM School of Education researchers found that classroom dialog can encourage interest in math and sciences among pupils.
Classroom dialog is a way that teachers and pupils communicate with each other, which involves discussion and feedback. With a new professional development program, researchers observed that interest in the subject, drive and proficiency levels all increased in the majority of the pupils whose teachers had participated in the program.
