Schools Address Student Homelessness


Homelessness is increasing in schools with school officials are counting higher percentages of homeless children among their student body.

According to Jake Murray is the director of the Aspire Institute at Wheelock College, initial steps for building toward this level of awareness and action include public knowledge, learning from best models, and thinking and working across service areas.

But with the backing of a funding initiative specifically targeted to boost women and minority entrepreneurs in Southeast Michigan, Sheu cofounded two education-technology startups.
