An Urban Institute paper reports on the experiences and challenges of men at the margins between the ages of 18 and 44, and focuses on their experiences in five areas: education, employment, family, criminal justice, and health.

Most of US men of prime working age are neither employed nor pursuing education nor other training. This indicates there is a potentially significant disconnection from mainstream economic and social life.
