Naugatuck Gets Boost from Federal Grant

Naugatuck is set to help low-income residents make the needed improvements to their homes through a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant.

The Community Development Block Grant is awarded by the federal Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program, for a revolving loan program to help low-income residents upgrade their homes. Homeowners must meet income guidelines, be updated on their taxes and the house must have equity to be qualified for the grants.
