Bipartisan Federal Budget: To Infuse Money Into Early Childhood Programs


The bipartisan federal budget being conferred lately on Capitol Hill is predicted to impart budget into early childhood programs in Connecticut and across the country.

If the federal budget becomes law, it's still pretty vague what the increased funding means for Connecticut but a fact sheet presented by the Senate Appropriations committee reports the increase means 90,000 more children nationwide will be able to enroll in Head Start and other federally-funded programs for children.

Three social enterprises were recognized at the 2013 President’s Challenge Social Enterprise Award for their major contributions to society. SATA CommHealth and Bliss Restaurant landed Social Enterprise of the Year titles, while Bettr Barista Coffee Academy bagged the award for Social Enterprise Start-up of the Year.
