Veterans Affairs to Extend Grant Program for Homeless Vets


The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has announced that a grant program aimed at reducing homelessness among veterans is to be extended.

VA has been kicking up funding to the Support Services for Veteran Families Program, which provides grants to organizations providing services to veteran families with limited income. The program targets very low-income veterans who are transitioning to permanent housing or who are at risk of losing their homes because of emergency financial situations.
