2014 Federal Budget Boosts Programs for College-Bound Students


The 2014 federal budget passed by Congress and recently signed by President Obama grows funding for career technical education, boosts college-readiness programs for at-risk students, and regulates the maximum amount of Pell Grant awards.

The new budget plops $49 million more into the Federal Work Study program, and $37 million more into the Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant program.
