Effect of Transcendental Meditation on Teacher Stress and Burnout

A new research published in The Permanente Journal documents how the Transcendental Meditation technique substantially reduced teacher stress, depression and burnout.

The research examines the Transcendental Meditation (TM) program, which decreased burnout in teachers and support staff at the Bennington School in Vermont, a special in-residence school for students with behavioral problems.

The Fund for Shared Insight has announced its first round of grants, which are intended “to encourage and incorporate feedback from the people the social sector seeks to help; understand the connection between feedback and better results; foster more openness between and among foundations and grantees; and share lessons.”
