More than a Nonprofit, Pioneer Human Services Helps People Transition from Prison

Pioneer Human Services is a manufacturing enterprise of Pioneer Industries where it runs a diverse range of businesses to provide on-the-job training and work experience for people who have come out of prison and recovering from substance abuse in Washington State.

The social enterprise also offers treatment and counseling to ex-offenders, as well as housing services. Recently, Pioneer Human Services landed a 2013 Boeing Performance Excellence Award, and a U.S. Dept. of Labor grant to expand training programs.
