The Sochi Olympics has spurred Russia to learn and understand the concept of volunteerism as a labor of love.
At Sochi, young adults, mostly in their early 20s, have donated their time to help and oversee operations of the games. Marina Pochinok of SOC says, "The word volunteer
itself was very unknown. It was not the law. We started from the very basic with the law and with introducing the word volunteer
to the Russian vocabulary."
