High Prices for Fresh Fruits, Vegetables Associated with Higher Body Fat in Children


According to American University researchers in the journal Pediatrics, high fresh fruits and vegetables prices are linked with higher Body Mass Index (BMI) in young children in low- and middle-income households.

Another finding reveals local fast food outlets may have more freedom than grocery stores to increase their prices in response to higher demand for their products.
