Volunteers Help in Annual Waterway Trash Bash


City volunteers participated in the annual Waterway Trash Bash that focused on Guthrie Creek near McCann Road.

Longview Community Relations Coordinator Mary Jane Burnett who organized the event, said, "It is important because the litter will eventually get blown into our waterways and it deteriorates, and anything that goes into our surface water that eventually goes into our drinking water; so it's a water pollution concern as well."
