A new study reveals that nearly 75 percent of 4 million uninsured people with mental health illnesses will be denied insurance because of their home states refusing to participate in the Medicaid Expansion program under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).

A total of 25 states have not considered participating in the Medicaid expansion program. The study is entitled Dashed Hopes, Broken Promises, More Despair: How the Lack of State Participation in the Medicaid Expansion Will Punish Americans With Mental Illness.
