Norfolk Southern Foundation Awarded $6.2 Million in 2011


The Norfolk Southern Foundation has awarded grants amounting to $6.2 million in 2011 which is an 11% increase over 2010. $2.03 million was given to 80 United Way campaigns and other health and human services groups, making this the recipient with the largest amount.

In 2012, Norfolk Southern Foundation increases funding to $7 million to support organizations providing food and shelter to those in need; expanding educational opportunities for children; helping conserve the environment; and promoting the arts and culture.
