The New York Leadership for Accountable Government is a group of civil and philanthropic leaders pushing for public funding of campaigns, hoping to increase flagging voter turnout.

Members say they will promote voluntary public financing of political campaigns, lower maximum levels of contributions, and independent enforcement of campaign finance abuses.
