Aetna Foundation Helps Fight Childhood Obesity

The Girls Incorporated(R) of Greater Atlanta (Girls Inc.) for Girls Inc. Sporting Chance(R) has been awarded with a $25,000 grant from Aetna Foundation.

In line with Aetna Foundation's current giving is focus on addressing the rising rate of adult and childhood obesity in the U.S., the Sporting Chance program helps fight childhood obesity by physical activity, sports and adventure for the girls to stay healthy.

Co-founders William Mann and David Mravyan devised the Sensimat during a mandatory project for their MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada. Sensimat is a device that helps manage and assess pressure among wheelchair users.
