Volunteers at American Hiking Society Create Hiking Trails

Mary Chayka-Crawford, Franklin Wu and Robert Muise, all members of the American Hiking Society, participated in a volunteer vacation at Trinity River National Wildlife Refuge.

During their volunteering hours, they spent building hiking trails for for the From Crosswalks to Boardwalks Project. According to the three volunteers, volunteering is a way for them to give back, or as a form of community service. American Hiking Society is a nonprofit that promotes hiking activities as part of their efforts to protect foot trails.
