AmeriCorps Volunteers Take Part in Community Gardening

Two recent college graduates, Liz Prather, 23, a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and Elizabeth Schlobohm, also 23, from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, participate in the AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) program.

Their first work involves community gardening. The community garden, which aims to keep its produce organic, will be in an undeveloped portion of Amend Park and will feature more than a plot to grow and harvest the community's produce.
