Tribal Council approved a $1.5 million grant application as cash match to the U.S. Treasury's Community Development Financial Institution Program for the Cherokee Nation's Economic Development Trust Authority (EDTA).
The EDTA will use $650,000, administered by Cherokee Nation Businesses, in matching funds for the Native American CDFI Assistance Grant application to the U.S. Treasury. The EDTA runs under the Commerce Services and offers micro-enterprise, small business and employee loans.
