U.S. Senator Chris Murphy, D-Conn. is currently working to provide federal funds to quickly get homeless people off the streets and into housing.

In memory of Francisco Perez, a 43-year-old Guatemalan national and father of five, believed to have frozen to death in the early morning hours of Feb. 27 after leaving a crowded homeless shelter in the city, Connecticut officials, homeless advocates, and community residents are banding together and redoubling efforts to fight homelessness and hunger.
