Volunteers participate in clean up efforts to search for traces of tar that hit the Galveston Bay due to a large oil spill.
Clean up efforts were performed by the volunteers working with the Galveston Bay Foundation's Volunteer Sentinel Program. Shifts of volunteers covered the beaches from 37th to 61st streets Saturday as well as beaches on the West End.
