Incredible Towers In Ethiopia Harvest Clean Water from Air


An Italian designer and co-founder of Architecture And Vision, Arturo Vittori, devised a solution that would generate local jobs, and provide clean water in Ethiopia's mountainous regions.

Called WarkaWater, named from the traditional, vanishing warka trees, towers made of bamboo and fabric were created to harvest potable water from the air by condensation.

    J. Gregory Dees, an internationally acclaimed Professor of the Practice of Social Entrepreneurship and co-founder of the Center for the Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, passed away at age 63 at the Duke Hospital Friday.
