Iowa\'s Project Alluvion to Grant Millions to Microsoft to Spur Jobs

Iowa Economic Development Authority has unveiled its Project Alluvion, which will grant $18 million in sales tax rebates for Microsoft to create a data center in West Des Moines.

The data center will pull in at least 86 jobs and boost the area's economic development. Project Alluvion is the code name the city of West Des Moines used for a mystery company that guarantees job creation in exchange for funding help from the city and the state.
