Developing Cities Get an Enhanced Makeover with Minecraft


Part of the United Nations' Block by Block program, community members are asked to redesign public spaces, which includes parks and public squares that need to be redeveloped, inside the popular sandbox game, Minecraft.

The program was kick started by people aged 14-25 involved in planning projects in their communities. The program is a good way to get young people involved, especially those who are difficult to get them to come to community meetings and participate because of their location.
