City of Flint Invests in Community Development Block Grants to Teach People to Read

The city of Flint in Michigan will invest in federal Community Development Block Grant funds to hone people's reading skills.

The funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. According to Megan Hunter, Flint's chief planning officer, "We think .. human development is economic development."
