Summer Food Program Receives Grant

Salvation Army's Summer Food Program has received a grant worth $5,000 from the Fermont Area Community Foundation.

The program provides free lunch for any Fremonth youth, from 1 to 18 years old, for the entire summer as a way to ensure that no child goes hungry in the community. The Heartland Food Bank initiated the program as a response to Fremont's high free- and reduced-lunch rates.
