Twitter to Teach Tech Skills to Homeless and Low-income Families


Twitter has recently partnered with Compass Family Services, a century-old organization based in San Francisco that offers services to thousands of homeless families.

The partnership formed the Twitter Neighborhood Nest, which will be a safe and open tech hub where parents will get access to job-search support, skills training and networking opportunities. Age-appropriate computer and tech skills will also be taught to children. The Twitter Neighborhood Nest, which aims to bridge the digital divide to meet the needs of struggling families, is slated to open in June 2015.
