Armstrong Atlantic State University Assistant Professor of Urban History and material culture Dr. Ella Howard publishes her new book, "Homeless: Poverty and Place in Urban America".
The book provides a deeper understanding of homelessness, the problems that cause it, and the efforts supplied by politicians and social workers to suppress homelessness and poverty. Through its pages, "Homeless" also gives insight on modern America's welfare system.
The position young people are dealt with can be complex, and yet the entire economic system is still focused for an age that’s almost gone astray. The solution? Promoting social enterprise and getting these young people integrated into work.
