Behavioral Therapy: Positive Changes in Brain Activity in Autistic Children

In a study called "Neural Mechanisms of Improvements in Social Motivation After Pivotal Response Treatment” conducted at the Yale University's Child Study Center, researchers identified positive changes in brain function in children with autism.

The Center used functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) to analyze the impact of behavioral therapy in autistic kids. The findings of the research can be found in the Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders.
