Chicago-based education startup ThinkCERCA, founded in 2012, develops software that teaches grades 4 to 12 students critical thinking and analytical skills.

Chuck Templeton, founder of OpenTable and the Impact Engine Accelerator, will be joining its board. Templeton enthuses, "The key to building a great business in education is a product that teachers want, customers showing that they value it by paying for it, a big market, and an awesome entrepreneur who really focuses on making educational impact. That impact is why I believe ThinkCERCA will grow quickly."
