NY Nonprofit Aims to End Homelessness and Addiction

Project Renewal launched a culinary training program that trains people for food service jobs in hopes of ending cycles of homelessness, addiction and jail time.

With its Nonprofit Comfort Food Catering, 5,500 meals per day are given out and served at 28 locations across Brooklyn, New York City. Clients include senior homes, shelters and corporate customers. The culinary arts program also generates sustainable jobs for its graduates.
