Current State of Homeless Students Increasing in Lake Washington School District


According to the Washington State Superintendent of Public Instruction, homeless students in Eastside school districts in 2011-2012 are increasing.

To date, 209 students are identified as homeless in the region and 10 percent higher than last year. An Eastside nonprofit organization dedicated to helping homeless kids is Friends of Youth.
